We have just received notification that HealthNet of Arizona will be exiting the small and large group market.

Starting May 1, 2018 HealthNet will begin the notification process of the market action, per the terms of the Group Enrollment Agreement, to employer groups and employees who currently have HealthNet coverage.

1. I’m the business owner/HR Manager. What are my options?

HealthNet will be honoring all current group contracts and will continue to provide high-quality service to their members.  Employer groups and members will experience no disruption to their existing coverage for the remainder of their plan coverage.

You can depend on the professional staff of HalSi Insurance to assist you with the transition to a new insurance company.

At no charge to you, we will shop your plan with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare to find the best affordable plan for you and your employees.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Group coverage will be set to expire upon the end of the group’s plan year.  As per the Group Enrollment Agreement, they will begin notifying groups at least 180 days prior to their renewal date.
  • Groups renewing between July 2018 and October 2018 will be offered renewals. Their 12 month contract will be honored.  They will receive a discontinuation notice 180 days prior to their renewal effective date
  • Groups renewing November or December of 2018 will not receive renewals. HealthNet will be sending their 180 day discontinuation letter on 5/1/2018.
  • HealthNet is no longer quoting or accepting new groups.

We highly recommend that groups DO NOT wait until they receive the discontinuation notice to begin looking for other coverage options, and that we begin the quoting process as soon as possible.  As with any insurance product, rates historically rise every quarter, so the sooner we can lock in your annual premium in with another carrier, the better.

2. I’m an employee losing my HealthNet coverage.  What are my options?

As an employee losing your coverage you will have the following options:

  • Call HalSi Insurance for a free no obligation quote for a plan you can purchase on your own.
  • Recommend that your employer contact HalSi Insurance for a free no obligation comparison of plans available from other insurance companies.
